The Easy Duffle Bag. A digital Sewing Pattern by Laura Cunningham of Sweet Cinnamon Roses.

The pattern includes loads of pictures to help you create your own Easy Duffle Bag. Also included is access to a bonus video tutorial walking you through all the steps.

The PDF Sewing Pattern includes two sizes and two styles (with and without handles/ pocket). Make a whole cloth version (aka the outside is created using one piece of fabric) or a patchwork version (aka using your fave scraps to create something totally unique).

The Easy Duffle is fully lined with no raw edges and no binding (yes, you've heard that right) to finish your Easy Duffle. And don't panic - I won't ask you to sew your lining in by hand either. It's all done by machine and it's ohh so quick.

With the purchase of this pattern you will receive a digital copy of my pattern via Email. There is no need to print it unless you wish to do so, as there are no templates needed. So you can start straight away.

And as with all my patterns, it includes a license to sell. So feel free to make as many bags as you wish to gift or sell. But please remember, this pattern is for one person only. Do not copy, redistribute or sell. If you wish to teach a class, please get in touch with me.

  • Materials used: quilting cotton, soft and stable (or quilt batting/ fusible fleece as an alternative for a much softer version), zipper (15" or longer for the Mini and 18" or longer for the Large Duffle), hardware for the strap (two D-rings, two swivel hooks and a slider) and thread
  • Finished Size: approx. 13" x 6" x 6" (wxhxd for the Mini) and 16" x 8" x 8" (wxhxd for Large Duffle)

Please find more about the Easy Duffle over here. I walk you through all the materials needed, share my best tips + tricks, you'll find lots of inspiration and you watch the free video tutorial.

“It is possibly my favorite pattern of hers yet. As always Laura takes ingenious concepts and walks you through them in a very simple way. Everything I know about bag making I learned from her patterns and if I can do it SO CAN YOU!” Lexi, United States

If you have any questions regarding saving/ printing your PDF pattern, which pattern to choose or wonder about the buying process,… please have a look over at my FAQs for more information.
