Tutorial on Foundation Paper Piecing for Prym

Foundation Paper Piecing Tutorial by Laura Cunningham of Sweet Cinnamon Roses

I started this quilt for my daughter about a year ago. The plan was to show off my most precious and long hoarded prints by Heather Ross. So, I picked the sweetest prints I had for the centre and framed them using pink basics. And oh my, making these economy blocks is totally addicting. I know, I know. It is a slow process but really rewarding. Every little block is so sweet and makes up for the time I spent on it.

I love the blocks. And so did you. The feedback I got was genuinely overwhelming and I can't thank the quilty community enough for cheering me on all the way.

But I also got lots of questions regarding my technique. And as much as I like chatting to you all individually, I thought it would be easier to write up a quick tutorial on piecing these blocks instead. So I teamed up with the lovely people of Prym and show you how I piece these blocks for my daughter's quilt.

These are the tools I use for my blocks. Gosh, I am in love especially with the Prym Love Series. That turquoise cutting mat is not only super cute but also rotates, which is super hand when it comes to foundation paper piecing.

And if you fancy following my progress on this quilt, please have a look over on Instagram. I am always trying to make as many blocks as possible, as this quilt should be ready for my girl before she heads off to Uni in ten years...
