Zipper Pouch Tutorial for Aurifil

Hand quilted zipper pouch tutorial by Laura Cunningham of Sweet Cinnamon Roses

Ohhh, I love making little pouches out of my favourite scraps. I couldn't stand the thought of fabric being wasted and I also love that these pouches give a little insight about what project I was working on recently. Hahahaha, always lots of sweet little pink prints. Mostly Heather Ross these days but you might have guessed that already...

I had quite a few of you ask me how I am making them and especially how I quilt them in the end. So I was super excited when Aurifil offered me the chance to write a little tutorial for their blog. Please head over to Auribuzz for the tutorial and lots of tips and tricks, it's such a sweet little project showing off your favourite fabric and thread of course.

It's all in the detail! So these little crosses become something of a trademark for me and my projects over the past few years.

Such an easy way to make a project even more special and a great excuse to pull out my rainbow of Aurifil thread. For these I love using Aurifil 12wt, the texture it creates is just perfect.

Ohhh, I hope you like them as much as I do. And if so, please jump over and read the full tutorial over with Aurifil. I will definitely make many, many more of them...

Thanks so much to Aurifil for giving me the chance to write for your wonderful blog. It's been an absolute honour and I am excited to continue working with you.
