This Liberty glitter pouch literally sparkles! Yes... it does. And you know what - you can make one as well, my friend.
But let's start at the beginning, shall we?

I bet you love Liberty Tana lawn as much as I do! The delicate fabric is such a dream and the florals are just perfect.
And as a bonus: they are great for bag making - especially if you have some scraps left from your last garment or quilt. Never waste a tiny piece of Liberty, am I right...? No scraps left behind.
So. You've got your Liberty scraps - only add a zipper, vinyl and a tiny bit of glitter and you are ready to make the most perfect gift. For literally anyone. Because who doesn't like a bit of sparkle...? Exactly, we all do.
Ahhh... those chunky little glitter pieces are just too adorable. I love the milkshake cups. Can you see - there's a little heart in them!!
All the fabric was kindly provided by Alice Caroline Fabrics.
It's such a fun and quick little make. And the best thing - these pouches are totally beginner friendly. If you can sew a straight line, you can make one. Or a dozen... but that's up to you really.
But let me tell you what you'll need.
Materials for your Liberty Glitta Pouch:
- some of your fave Liberty scraps - I love Betsy but any of them would look amazing!
- plastic zipper - top tip: I usually buy 10" zippers in bulk as they are so much cheaper and cut them to size!
- small pieces of vinyl
- glitter in all kinds of shapes and sizes - the bigger the pieces, the easier they float through your pouch (just like my little ghosts, aliens and milkshake cups)
- thread - I like to use Aurifil 50wt for construction and Aurifil 28wt for topstitching (but that that's of course optional)
And as for notions. Please, please, pleeeaaase always only use clips to hold your vinyl in place as needles will leave holes and you won't be able to get rid of them anymore. Ever. This is super important and will help you immensely create a perfect little pouch (without any extra holes!).
And finally - you will need a copy of the pattern. CLICK HERE for your copy! It's a digital file (PDF) and ready for instant download so you can get started straight away.
If you like to find out a little more about the pattern itself, my best tips and tricks and see more pictures for inspiration - please head over to my latest blog post on the Glitta Pouch!
If you have any more questions or just want to hang out - why not join our free Facebook group. A group for you and me and all the amazing creators out there who like to join and share their makes using Sweet Cinnamon Roses patterns. It's a private group, with rules in place, so you can feel safe! I make sure of that!
Of course you can also find me on Facebook and Instagram for more inspiration. And under the #glittapouch you'll find a bunch of incredible versions of the liberty pouch by fellow makers and designers.
Happy Bag Making!
