The Sunday Ruffle. A digital Sewing Pattern by Laura Cunningham of Sweet Cinnamon Roses.
This is The Sunday Ruffle. The cutest, ruffled zipper bag ever. This one has it all. Quilty goodness, ruffles, patchwork, ribbons and (fussy cut) zipper tabs! Like what?!
The pattern includes loads of pictures to help you create your own ruffled bag. The bag is suitable for (confident) beginners, scrap friendly, quilted and you can make either an easy one using one piece of fabric or go all out and create a patchwork version. Whole cloth for beginners and patchwork for all you quilters.
With the purchase of this pattern you will receive a digital copy of my pattern via Email. There is no need to print it unless you wish to do so, as there are no templates. So you can start straight away. Plus an additional bonus video tutorial for all visual learners.
This is a measure and cut pattern, meaning all pattern pieces are cut using a rotary cutter, cutting mat and ruler. No templates! All measurements are provided to make the sizes mentioned below.
And as with all my patterns, it includes a license to sell. So feel free to make as many project bags as you wish to gift or sell. But please remember, this pattern is for one person only. Do not copy, redistribute or sell. If you wish to teach a class, please get in touch with me.
- Materials used: quilting cotton, quilt batting, SF101 interfacing, ribbon, zipper, thread (find details on the blog)
Finished sizes not including the ruffles (all in wxh):
- The Sunday Ruffle: approx. 7" x 5" (wxh)
- Mini Ruffle: approx. 4.5" x 3.5" (wxh)
Tip: You can easily hack the pattern by changing it's size, make it patchwork, add or skip the handle and ribbons, make the ruffles wider or skinnier and add fussy cut tabs!
Please find more about The Sunday Ruffle in my latest blog post. There I talk you through all the materials needed, share my free video tutorial with and you'll find lots of inspiration!
If you have any questions regarding saving/ printing your PDF pattern, which pattern to choose or wonder about the buying process,… please have a look over at my FAQs for more information.
